The Giants Gold video slot is a brainchild of Williams (WMS) Gaming. WMS is an international gaming development company with a footprint in many countries throughout the world. They are reputable, and have some rather nice and rather different games in their portfolio. Giants Gold is another of their GIANT games which features one-hundred pay-lines, and a whole plethora of reels. To be a little more precise, there are two screens, each housing five reels of their own. In the base game, 500 coins can be won for placing a maximum bet.

Special Features

Well we believe that a one-hundred line video slot is pretty special, but what makes this game even more special is the fact that there are also two sets of reels – one normal set, and a colossal set. This design obviously compensates for the fact that extra space was needed to accommodate so many lines. This game is themed on the Giant from the fairy tale – Jack and the Beanstalk.

It features a massive giant – especially when he expands, an expanding beanstalk, and instead of Jack, a sexily dressed lady climbing the stalk. It also uses other symbols from this classic tale such as the cow, the goose that lays the golden eggs, the golden harp, the magic beans of course, and card indices Ace, King Queen, and Jack. The beanstalk is the wild icon. Graphic are sharp and well-illustrated, sounds are the kind of sounds one would expect to hear when visiting a farm, with the occasional Fi-Fi-Fo-Fum thrown in for effect.

Because this is such a large game it is very difficult to describe. One really has to take a few spins on the reels to truly appreciate the entertainment value. However, pay-lines may be toggled down to lesser amounts in tranches of twenty at a time. In other words, 80, 60, 40 and 20 lines may be activated. The coin bet range starts at 1p per line, and is split half/half over all 100 lines so that the minimum wager is 0.50p. The top bet is 2.00 for a total of 100.00. Auto-spin may also be activated by the player.

Bonus Features

A bonus game is triggered by the golden egg icon. This symbol only appears on reels one, three and five in the main set of reels, and the same on the colossal set. This offers the potential for up to six golden eggs to land on the reel, but unfortunately we were not able to access this game, and the pay-tables don’t say much about it.
